I wish I could see a version of this list where it was adjusted for inflation and increased population. It makes it seem like the older movies performed worse when in reality it was simply a different time and earnings isn't an objective measure of how it performed for it's time.

Right? Jaws and Exorcist land at numbers 13 and 16 of the top grossing movies of all time per IMDB. Adjusted for inflation? $2.17 and 1.96 Billion respectively.

What do you mean? The graph shows Jaws and The Exorcist at #3 and #5.

When not filtered for the horror genre and then adjusted for inflation, they're 13 and 16 of the all-time highest earning. None of the others appear in that list. If the above amounts were adjusted for inflation, they would most likely have been at positions 1 and 2.

These top10 lists would be dominated by movies from the 30’s if adjusted for inflation. There’s no news in Gone With the Wind still #1!

I did suffer while watching it, and it caused memory loss, as I remember nothing about it.
