Surprised to see I am Legend so high up for such a bad movie, in my opinion.

I liked it a lot. Also never really thought of it as a horror movie.

Wow, you're the first person I've heard to not like I am Legend. What made you dislike it?

I also dislike it. The book being one of my absolute favorites generally helps disliking the movie.

Not the person you're asking but they bought the rights to adapt a novel, then litterally massacred what made the novel unbelievably good, its ending.
It's a fucking shame cause the revised ending sucks. Why would they do that ?

Add another to the dislike pile. It was certainly nothing special, and the the way they ended it was just total shit.

At the time Will smith was huge, and there were not so many horror vehicule movies. Also, the fact that it was from a book made people curious i guess ?

The director's cut changes the movie significantly for the better. The ending of the theatrical cut is laughably bad, the ending of the director's cut actually reveals some meaningful story. I don't understand at all how anybody looked at those two endings and chose to release the theatrical one.
anti_anti_christ t1_iuos0mm wrote
Can't say I saw the directors cut, but yeah, the original ending was just so damn bad that it ruined any momentum the movie had going until that point.

Will Smith fanboy here. King Richard was a home run. Hope he can survive his Oscar mistake and make future good movies.
