The darkest spots are also the HQs of
- Wolfsburg (Volkswagen)
- Ingolstadt (Audi)
- Stuttgart (Mercedes Benz & Porsche)
Next to Wolfsburg is Braunschweig, where the VW brands leasing business is concentrated.
In the middle is Wiesbaden, HQ of (afaik) Avis and Hertz.

Wolfsburg is were Volkswagen car's are build, I believe their workers usually get new car's on the cheap. Could that be a reason why it's ahead?
