You can't see it on the map but DC actually has the highest percentage with Bachelor's or higher at 61.4%.

Yeah, I’m curious too. I wouldn’t have expected Colorado to be bad exactly… but tied with Massachusetts, home to Harvard, MIT, and many other colleges, is surprising.

Probably because well-educated populations, especially millennials, have flocked to live in places like Denver metro area and Boulder, rather than it being purely the institutions in the state driving the educational attainment.
