I thought PhD stood for Pretty Huge Dick, as sourced from the 1990s television hit Friends?

How do you think we got our doctorates in phucking?

It took me so long to figure out why white people were treating PhDs like a god. It turns out they don’t.

Florida’s on a speed run to the bottom this year.

Massachusetts is leading with 45.2% vs Colorado at 42.8%.

You can't see it on the map but DC actually has the highest percentage with Bachelor's or higher at 61.4%.

Yeah, I’m curious too. I wouldn’t have expected Colorado to be bad exactly… but tied with Massachusetts, home to Harvard, MIT, and many other colleges, is surprising.

Probably because well-educated populations, especially millennials, have flocked to live in places like Denver metro area and Boulder, rather than it being purely the institutions in the state driving the educational attainment.

There should be a list of how many versions of this exact map there are.
Northeastern and western Democrat states on one end, deep south Republican states on the other. Just change the topic and the scale.

In the interactive map, Utah and Minnesota which show up as dark for "Bachelor's degree and higher", disappear when for "Graduate or professional degree".
tinker_tailor_soldie OP t1_jamjsiu wrote
Because both of their "Bachelor's degree and higher" are made up mainly by "Bachelor's degrees", so they appear like their Graduate degrees are low
tinker_tailor_soldie OP t1_jamx4rm wrote
I personally like putting on the "high school graduate or higher" filter and seeing how impressively dark Mountain states and upper prairies are compared to the south

Mississippi is the dumbest state, no surprise there. If they could read this sentence or the graph they would be mad.
