I'm planning to buy a PS4, sometimes i think Xbox One has better value due to game pass but i really want to play Sony's exclusives, Xbox doesn't have any exclusives that attract me, though game pass is way better than PS Plus.

I think when choosing between them is a matter of getting more for my buck or paying more for better quality, i'm dying to play God of War, Bloodborne, and Spider-Man, i'm afraid i might regret my decision if i get an Xbox, Sony has been getting greedier and making a bunch of terrible decisions but they still have the best exclusives.

I’m gonna be the first person to ever tell you this but game pass just isn’t worth it unless you catch it on promo.

If you have a pc definitely choose PS4 because you can get pc gamepass and it has almost all the Xbox exclusives.

I’m gunna be the first person to tell you this. The value of game pass to you could be totally different value to someone else. If you work 50 hours a week and can only game for 2 hours on the weekend game pass definitely isn’t worth it but if you can try a new game ever week then game pass is very much worth it

I have both but Xbox is the better choice because of gamepass in my opinion. Lots of games and a rotating library to keep it fresh. With that said, the PS4 with VR is amazing and you can get a psvr setup for cheap.

Game pass is great, it has 458 games currently and it would only cost me R$45 per month, PS Plus Extra would cost me R$53 per month, game pass is really attractive but i will miss Sony's exclusives.

I would get an xbox. As a former PS4 owner, the exclusives are good, yes but they are the kind of game that you beat once and never come back to them again. With few exceptions most of them have zero replay value and you'll spend most of your time playing 3rd party games and those tend to be more expensive on Sony consoles.

If you really want the exclusives you can buy a ps4, beat whatever game you want and then trade it for an xbox.

Back when i had a PS2 i beat God of War 2 a bunch of times, what makes me want to play a game again is not replay value, it's setting, characters, story, i beat Dark Souls 2 nearly 40 times and i'm dying to play Bloodborne, i definitely won't play the exclusives once then forget, i'm going to replay them many many times.

You can get PS4 physical games dirt cheap lately, and you can sell them or collect them. It's how I play my games mostly.

It's too early to say anything about current gen but I think for the last gen, PS4 rocks because it has many games that you can't play on its competitors consoles. Days Gone, Until Dawn, Detroit, Horizon 1&2, God of War (2018 and Ragnarok), Gran Turismo 7, Last of Us Remastered&2, Bloodborne, Uncharted 1 to 4, Death Stranding are the ones coming to mind. Many other stuff is cross platform so there's also that.

In short I'd go for PS4. Pro if possible but not necessarily.

I won't buy my games, i will either subscribe for PS Plus Extra or Game Pass Ultimate, i only earn around R$600 per month, some games here can cost R$350 or more, Resident Evil 4 on Xbox Store costs R$59, i would rather pay a subscription every month and have access to a catalogue with hundreds of games.

It’s worth pointing out that the Xbox One is capable of emulating almost all consoles and arcade games up to about the PS2, retroarch is an app that is available natively and you just need to download the ROMs for it, it can literally play over 100,000 games including the majority of the Nintendo back catalogue and more PlayStation games than you can play on PlayStation.
