So what is emulating games meant to do? Forgive me, I don’t have a pc or anything, they’re too expensive for me

Don't worry about the emulatioj for now. Why not have a look on the steam website and have a look to see if a deck is available where you live? There you can also browse the 1000's upon 1000's of games that are available. Most of them will work fine on a steam deck. A few won't. Protondb is a good website to check and see if the games you want to play have been tested on the steam deck and how well they play.

It says the cheapest one is 400 for the 64gb memory, how far do you think 64gb would get me, and is there a space for an sd card?

Yes it can take sd cards. 64GB isn't a lot, but if you play indie games then it'll hold a fair few. AAA Games like assassins creed valhalla are 150GB in size so won't fit on the internal memory. You can upgrade the internal memory in the future though, but you'll need access to a pc to do it. Or you could obviously ask someone to do it for you.

I think you could just put in a 512gb micro sd without a pc right, or am I thinking wrong, I’m fine with using a micro sd

Your thinking right, you don't need a pc to put an sd card in 👍 the pc bit only applies if you want to upgrade the internal memory (the ssd) to something a bit bigger in the future.
