I'm on a tight deadline and will need to mail out about 30 pages of documents tomorrow but will be at Logan early in the morning.

Is there an official USPS store or resource within Logan to help accomplish this? Ideally I need to purchase stamps and large envelope.

Alright, im half way there! Now I just need stamps etc. I presume you can't say for certain if they have that?

Walgreens/CVS and Walmart sell them if you can find one open on your way to Logan.

The USPS Office at Fort Point, South Station (25 Dorchester Ave, Bos, 02205) Operates 6AM-Midnite, Mon-Sunday.

The East Boston USPS Office is at 50 Meridian Street, but has more normal hours, 9AM-5PM

If you can provide the envelope, many (if not most) USPS locations (Fort Point, Milk Street, Back Bay) have an APC (Automated Postal Center == A Postal ATM kiosk), whcih can dispense pre-printed stamps & labels.

Most Post Offices offer free envelopes for Flat Rate and Express Mail Service; you could carry the envelopes with you, and print appropriate lables at the USPS APC kiosk.

USPS Flat Rate means you pay the highest postage, irrespective of weight or distance, for the item. USPS Express Mail, like the name, is basically next day delivery, for a premium price.

Fedex has a "Ship Center" service desk with normal business hours, (9AM-9:30PM), and a Fedex "On Site" Office, at 1 Kelley Sq East Boston, which claims to be 24 hours.

EDIT: Further Thoughts:

A Fedex Office site (used to be Kinko's) may be a perfect match. They can print, box and mail your document for you. Fedex Office can also do remote printing to other Fedex Office sites.

The nearest Fedex Office site seems to be (ironically) 10 Post Office Square, Boston 02109. Only Fedex Drop Boxes in East Boston.

I found a lot of this info online with a combination of:

tools.usps.com for USPS services, and

Google maps to get me actual locations.

I have personally used the Fort Point office to mail a package just before I boarded an Amtrak train.

The Fort Point location is next to South Station, so, you could take the Silver Line SL-1 bus to.from Logan, although it is rather slow.

The USPS.com site used to be better about telling you if a USPS APC is at an office; like it now says there's an APC at Chelsea, but I'm unsure if East Boston has one. The APCs are very useful for printing that special oversized label you need for a late nite early morning mailing.

MBTA police have been locking up South Station after 10PM to drive the homeless out, so, to reach USPS Fort Point from South Station, you may have to walk outside via Summer Street to USPS.

If there is a deadline, consider UPS etc. Tracking is king.

Great call, any idea if there is a UPS or FedEx at Logan for customers?
