Why not ask for him and talk to him about it yourself? Since you’re so upset and think you can’t do anything about it.

Look OP, you're clearly a bit out of touch for a number of reason (thinking the police would do anything, posting it on reddit, etc). But here's some practical advice: do NOT show up at someone's residence over petty theft. That's just asking for trouble. There are lots of wireless buds that are much cheaper than airpods, you'll be fine.
