What the heck does "bad frog" "frog defect" mean? I assume it's a train term or an acronym for something but that's pretty funny out of context lol

A "frog" is part of a track switch. There are a lot of them around Assembly to Wellington.

It's a train term that comes from an earlier horse term, so it's really old slang. It's the V shaped part of a track switch.
