Does anyone in the city proper have Informed Delivery?

Is it just my address that is not eligible?

The USPS offers "Informed Delivery" where they email you images of what you will be receiving in the mail. Every time I log into usps.com the next page I see tells me I can "See Incoming Mail in Your Email!" but when I attempt to enroll I am told "You do not have a valid address" and then it has the balls to say "Your address is not eligible for Informed Delivery: We update our lists weekly, please try again next week." I've been seeing this "try again next week" for five years. I realize I should stop trying to enroll.

The issue could be that my building has five units and has a mail slot: we sort our own mail into baskets for each unit. It is obvious when no mail arrives: I know when others are out of town and can see when no mail arrives for two days. And on days when mail is delivered we get a ream of mail, not just a letter or two. While I'm ranting, when we do get mail it comes at 8:30 at night.

The shared mail slot could potentially be an issue. Additionally if someone at that address already signed up for Informed Delivery, another person cannot (or least that used to be the case).

I have the same problem in my building. Basically it’s a 2 family house with separate mailboxes and the USPS for some reason has 3 addresses for it in their systems.

They have 123 Main St, 123 Main St Apt 1 and 123 Main St Apt 2

I think that is the reason I can’t sign up, I’ve also been trying for years

I’m in the city proper with USPS Informed Delivery. It’s the best thing ever. I try to inform anyone that I can about it. It’s great when you’re away. And the days where you can’t be bothered to check the mailbox knowing it’s just junk mail.

I have it. Works great, except that the mail is almost always later than informed delivery says it will be. That is, I’ll get photos of mail for “today,” but it doesn’t show up for several days.

My address is like: 123 Big Street, Apartment 3, where each apartment has a box in the lobby.
