Yes? Because it literally states it’s the plaque on the state of liberty. And the obelisk is because it’s meant to copy the Egyptians in making something timeless. Why are you stupid

But you only know those things because you read and learned about them. You learned what an obelisk was (and it's historical significance) and what it says on the statue's plaque. You can't read the plaque from standing at the base or a ferry ride.
