Nickerson is too small - minimum for the league is now 10,000 - and it's turf. The Boston team would start out having the worst facilities in the league. No one would want to come play here.

you would be lucky to average 5000 fans a game. Average attendance in that league is 7500. Most teams get less then 5-6000 fans a game, and here in Boston it will be on the low side. Just too many other major sports to watch, and no one is going to go to watch a team that would lose to an under 14 boys team.

I disagree wholeheartedly. The league is growing by leaps and bounds. The new LA team averaged over 19,000 and the San Diego team set a record of 32,000 fans - both teams in their first year. I'm a STH for the DC team but would love a home team. I have no interest in the Revs and I haven't been to a Sox or Bruins game in ages. It's an untapped market that just needs investment.

You are in such a minority. It’s the same problem the wnba has. What you are watching with wnba is a basically division 3 basketball at best. Women’s soccer you are watching teams that could not beat under 14 boys team. So the appeal is for women to go watch, since men want to want men compete. Problem is, women generally are not interested in sports, much much less then men. So nobody will go. Sad but it’s true

And I disagree strongly. Do you also feel fit to drag leagues like the XFL or do you save your bile for women's sports? People watch the Little League World Series - the ultimate U14 boy's teams. Hell, people sit their asses down to watch cornhole. That's the beauty of sports - there's something for everyone. People like to watch a competition. College sports are inarguably worse than pro sports but people watch them in droves. Incidentally, the NWSL often beat out the MLS in tv viewership. The league averages 7000 people a game. The median attendance is about 5k, and the my team gets less than 5k. Nobody will go, because we have plenty of other world class options. The little league World Series is for about 2 weeks in the summer. Just like people watch in bigger numbers the woman’s world cup(tiny compared to men’s still), but nobody cares about a league season. I know you are a fan and that’s great, but there just isn’t enough fans for these leagues to make a profit.
