Black Tie Events near Boston

I'm going to the Boston Winter Ball in February, just because my lady friend and I like to dress up and have fun. Are there any other, similar, black-tie events near Boston? We'd be fine going to nearly any New England state, as long as the location is within a couple hour drive from Boston.

Charity galas often have lower prices for “young professionals” if you fit in that group. If you have any Harvard-affiliated friends, see if they can get you tickets to the Viennese Ball at the Harvard Club. It’s already sold out for this year, but you might be able to get tickets if someone decides not to go.

Look into charity and nonprofit galas. Most will have something similar, though ticket prices can be high (since it's a donation, y'know.)

Good idea! The Boston Winter Ball is itself a charity gala, just a very well publicized gala. Now to go scrape Google for "charity galas in Boston"...
