I'm a big fan of Beantown Pub, Clark's, and Black Rose. Tho those may not have the scene you want on NYE?

City Winery can hold a lot of people. Looks like they have a concert that night which could be fun.

Ward 8 has some good food and cocktails, and won't be overrun by the kids.
