Look at historical prices here during the 2008 disaster. They barely dipped at all. There’s no crash coming to wait for.

There is no right time. At its peak it's an insanely competitive market, so I'd start looking as soon as you're ready and if you see houses that suit you give it your best shot. Good luck!

If you have the means to do it, now is still a good time to buy. Fewer buyers during the winter means less competition which helps keeps prices as in check as they can be in a crazy market. Interest rates will come down (a bit) eventually and you could refinance to save money in the long term.

I’d say wait a few hours. Around 2 AM is usually good.

If you search this sub, you’ll find that there will be people asking about a housing correction nearly every year. You have to do what’s best for you and your family.

I bought this past June.

Funny thing happens in this area: the real estate values never go down!

Do you know how long some people have been waiting for a housing crash?

Bar some kind of wild change in financing like the elimination of the 30 year mortgage, or some kind of immediate massive change in the desirability of Boston, the crash isn't coming.
