My wife and I had an amazing time at our wedding, anyone not having a good time at their own wedding is doing it wrong, not sure what that user is talking about.
I’ve noticed Reddit is sort of “anti-wedding” so I’d take what people say about weddings on here with a big grain of salt.

I meant if they knew someone was crashing. My wedding was expensive as hell and intentionally small, I'd be pissed if someone I didn't know crashed.
Also, my wedding and marriage were/are fantastic. No complaints.

I always took this saying to refer to all the obligations the married couple has. endless pictures, going around thanking everyone for coming, dealing with the planner, etc
