Hey all I’m going to be catching a midweek Celtics game coming up and was curious how you would all recommend getting there. I’ll be coming from Quincy and figured driving would be the easiest but probably insanely expensive dealing with parking. What alternatives would you suggest? It’s a shame the commuter rail will only get me to south station sadly

Green line from Park St to North Station
You think this makes more sense than driving? I guess what I sacrifice in time I gain in money saved?
I figured with all the hopping between lines it would add up to quite a long trip
I would recommend parking at Post Office Square. Weekday night parking is $9 I don't think you'll find anything cheaper and there is always plenty of spaces. I usually grab dinner somewhere between PO square and the Garden before the game, lot's of choices.
On a weekday evening you’re going to sit in traffic on 93 for just as long anyway

Not sure why your being down voted. OP You can buy parking in advance for the government center garage for $32. I do it for all the games and im coming from the south shore also.
Not always true. I got home from the garden to Canton in 35 minutes after a celtics game last week.
People who’ve never commuted in their lives.
Used to leave Mansfield at 5, grab dinner at the 4s and make tip/drop easily.

From South Station you could take the red line to Downtown Crossing or Park Street for the orange or green line. Both lines will get you to North Station. You could also walk from South Station to green or orange stops if you want some fresh air, maybe 5-10 min walk.
