What is the current state of the Garage in Cambridge/Chameleon Tattoo?

I moved out of Boston a few years back and now live in NY… so I know I’m very slow to hearing this news, but I’m devastated!

I had a lot of memories there, as a kid and well into college. I have a tattoo gift cert for Chameleon Tattoo that I never used. I would love to go back and visit one more time (and maybe even get a tattoo lol) but I can’t seem to figure out a straight answer from googling.

It says the Garage itself is permanently closed, but then when I looked up various stores there (Newbury Comics, Chameleon) they were all listed as open regular hours?

So I guess my questions are: is Chameleon/anything else in the Garage still open? If so, how much longer before they shut down fully? And lastly… anyone know if Chameleon or the other businesses will return after renovations?

Not sure about if Chameleon is still open in the garage, but I learned at Halloween SomerStreets that when the Garage closes, Chameleon will move to a new location in Union Square- so at least it won't be gone forever

Chameleon is re opening in Union Sq. in Sommerville since the garage is being demolished

I got a tattoo at Chamelon in June and a piercing in August, don’t know if they are still there but I assumed so for the time being!

I got a tattoo at Chameleon a couple weeks ago, but they’ll be moving to union sq in a few months iirc.
