Pizzeria Regina - North End

no. it's actually straight up embarrassing when people mention pizza in Boston because inevitably Regina's is brought up as the best and I just shrink back in shame. truly awful pizza and completely sad that this is the best pizza in Boston. I had some friends from new York come visit and they wanted to try some pies here, so I brought them to Regina's on a whim even though I personally don't like it either. but it was sooooo embarrassing when I asked if they liked it and they gave me a "yeah" and that's it. a couple minutes later I see them start spitting it into their napkins. when people ask about pizza in Boston now, I just say it's not really a thing here or I recommend blaze pizza.

Personally disagree, not really better than a half dozen other seafood places in Boston

They were one of the more disappointing restaurant experiences I’ve had in a while. While the internal cook on my steak was perfect, the exterior was charred so heavily it was all I could taste. I know it’s a grilled steak but it was basically burnt on the outside, especially the fat cap.

Everything else, the sides, cocktails, and service were all excellent, but the steak was not good.

Not hyped and I'd like to keep it that way, lol. It's busy enough 😂

I like it, but is it really that hyped? Wasn’t that busy last time I was there

You right. More of a hidden gem that I believe deserves the hype. Have been there around a dozen times and have had an A+ experience each time. Food and drink are always creative and fresh, and the waitstaff and owner/chef Asia are chill as hell.

I had very good cocktails and food at Comfort Kitchen... not a known place at this time but it'll be the location to get the Beacon Hill and Back Bay wealthy to sojourn to Dorchester for the novelty.

The hype is in restaurant circles for the time being but I'm sure the press is coming.

Hard disagree on this unless you’re a finance bro who knows exactly 4 cocktails. If I tell you I want something gin-based and herbaceous don’t just give me a Last Word, I could fucking make that at home.

you gotta be comfortable saying no and that isn't what you wanted. I rejected two drinks while my bartender was dialing it in, one because I can make it at home (aviation) and one because it was too sweet (forget what it was) and after that I had three amazing drinks I'd never had before and never would have had otherwise. Could also vary depending on your bartender I guess.

almost all the restaurants commented so far are just garbage. Boston has a poor food scene and almost nothing lives up to the hype. only places that are pretty decent.

What….?

It’s perfectly fine, and I enjoy going there. But this place has been open for years. It isn’t hyped at all. And it definitely isn’t close to the best restaurant in Boston.
