The venue itself is beautiful. But they go over the top with their measures of security to the point that it just makes people uncomfortable. They had a lady walking through the line and snooping around trying to bust people for stupid shit even when the person wasn’t doing anything wrong.

There was even another guy standing up in the window above the line trying to make reads on people. I have been to a lot of concerts and I have never experienced anything like this at a show before and it’s honestly really ridiculous and it’s ruined my mood. It’s hard to have fun when you’re constantly being watched by guards/employees at every turn.

I understand it’s not everyone’s fault and they’re just following orders to keep their job, but whoever is in charge of this place is enforcing regulations that are unjust and unfair. Luckily some employees are very chill and helpful. I’ve been avoiding the bathroom recently because the janitor in there starts yelling at everyone who’s just trying to take a piss to get tf out of there.

I complained to one of the security guards and luckily bro said he’d handle it. Also what’s really fucking weird about this venue is they regulate the amount of people on the floor and randomly wont let people on the floor even though there’s room and it’s general admission. They block one entrance and tell you to go through another that’s literally just as crowded. So I’m just sitting in the back depressed even though I want to be in the pit right now I wish I could get my money back :(. To sum it all up, these employees are by far the strictest I have ever seen going to a show. Has anyone else had a similar experience here? I know I was warned about all this but it’s twice as bad as people told me. Would feel good if there’s other people who feel the same way about this venue.

I mean, with all the mass shootings, I kind of don’t blame them for being all keyed up and anal.

I'm going there for the first time on Sunday. Hope it's not like this. Who did you see? It's not uncommon for different acts to breed different security measures

City morgue which has a very large fan base mostly made up of teenagers young adults and the occasional millennial. The show sold out so it is definitely packed but the floor isn’t even close to being a potentially fatal amount and employees still won’t let you in unless you try reason with them this is gonna sound so fucking ridiculous but my friend literally got in the pit by beating a security guard in rock paper scissors shit dead fucking ass

That sounds like it was the fault of the event talent's demands. I went to a show there a week ago and it was more relaxed. There was even a dude in the crowd openly vaping. Performers can vary on the demands of the venue and sometimes are overly strict, and the venue has to go along with it.

Honestly with all event trampling disasters that have been happening, I appreciate crowd density control.

I've been there like 5 or 6 times now and your experience sounds stricter than what I'm used to.

Personally, I like the security there. I was a sold-out concert recently and someone had a seizure. Security was super efficient in identifying & getting them to safety.

I feel like I have the optimal amount of fun there. Mosh pits are allowed, but if someone falls to the floor - they get flashlit so the other moshers can help 'em out.

And I should say that the floor area was shoulder-to-shoulder packed at my last show. So your experience could simply be part of the band's rider.

It's one of my favorite venues right now. The sound is always great and shows run like clockwork. The only thing I don't like is that I wish is that they had another bathroom on Stage Left. I mean, there is, but it's for the VIP folks.

Never heard of them, just looked them up. Holy shit that's just bad music. It's like kid rock level bad.

Edit: to each his or her own though. I'm sure plenty has been said about what I like and liked. It's music good for these guys for being creative and doing something with it.

Yes I was told that. I don’t mean any disrespect to the guy that got injured when saying this and I really hope the dudes okay but I just think it was just a bit ironic that an injury that serious happened considering how over the top security was keeping people out of the pit. Like at places like paradise the floor is a total free for all and I’ve never witnessed a serious injury at any of those shows.

My beef with Big Night Live was the setup of room. The VIP breaks the room in half and there aren't any bathrooms or bar on one side of the room so it leads to a weird congestion on one side.

Security was wildin out in the bathroom but it was super easy to just do drugs in the crowd.
