Why would someone spend money and hassle on changing in and out winter tires? They wreck your gas mileage too.

Just go with well-treaded all-season tires and you'll be all set.

Those same all seasons wreck your gas mileage in the summer compared to the summer perf tires that the OP possibly swapped out.

I’ve had winter tires for 8 years now on 3 different cars and I’ve never noticed any drop in gas mileage. Tire technologies have changed old man

I used to be you. Then I sprung for some winter tires because I got them at a steal from where I work. I will never go back.
