I read about half of Manzoni's The Betrothed. It's on my bedside table; it puts me to sleep.
20 books as well, 1 collection of essays, 2 nonfiction histories, 2 novellas or self contained short story, 3 graphic novels, 3 memoirs, 3 short story collections, 6 novels. Two five star reads, a YA memoir Free Lunch and a reread of God of Small Things.
nice! great start to the year eh :D!
I’m going to hit 10 today whether that kills me or not >). So if I do manage 10: I read 1 physical book, 1 graphic novel, 2 Audiobooks, 1 short history book, 5 E-books. My most prevalent genre is LGTBTQ+ according to storygraph
Ah love that! good for you! don't kill yourself for it though, then you wouldn't be able to read more :P!
What is storygraph and should I know about it heheh?
I'm at 40 right now, and expect to finish one more today. Lots of good stuff this month. I've been mostly working through older works I haven't read yet by favourite authors.
I finished 20 in January.
9 books toward my goal to read books by authors from other countries.
3 books toward my goal of finishing 3 series that I've been working on
4 books toward the goal of reading books I own
2 books for book clubs
2 books to learn something new
Don't think of it as hoarding. You adopted them. At least that's how I justify my choices. ;)
Hi there. Per rule 3.1, Promotional posts and/or comments need to meet the promotional rules requirements: please see the wiki for more details. Thank you!
I read 8 books, but half of them were novellas or short stories, so it felt like cheating. My favorite was probably Excellent Women by Barbara Pym. It's a love/hate relationship. I wanted to shake the main character Mildred, a single woman in her 30's, because she had no ambition. But I loved the writing style, Mildred's sarcastic inner monologue, and her flirtation with her smooth-talking neighbor Rocky. I'd read it all over again.
I approve of this validation!

I, um, collected quite a few… not sure if that’s a success or just hoarding.
