No Longer Human by Osamu Dazai.

A powerful book that's well written and worth the read but touches on a lot of dark subjects and self hatred from the author that double up pretty hard if you've experienced any of them yourselves. Probably my favorite book I read this year, but it was a difficult read not due to the writing but the subject and I can't recommend it to people in good conscience without a lot of warnings attached
