I am talking about TTS option in android (ex. moon plus reader pro) using IVONA voice not the annoying stock tts on tiktok videos and I gotta say I prefer it over actual people reading.

Maybe its the non modulated modulated voice that doesn't emphasize things or giving equal weightage to everything. Just wanted to share.

I'm the same. Never enjoyed people reading. Their intonations and "personal touch" always distracted me.

A reader interprets what they are reading. With a good director, this can be nice, but if you want to interpret for yourself, either print or robo-voice is the way to go.

I sometimes do that too. I wouldn't say I prefer TTS to human readers. Maybe I prefer it to some human readers. But some TTS voices are quite decent. I use Google voices (the free ones). I always use the network versions, the offline ones are not good.

My first language is Spanish, and when reading in Spanish there's a Google voice that I really like (more than I like the English voices).
