Pretty much everything by Hans Zimmer works perfectly :) For me especially Interstellar, Inception and Man of Steel. That also depends on the setting and the overall feeling of the book of course :)

The older stuff I recommend the lieders by alma Mahler. Female composers suppressed by time, truly exceptional.
