How about you just read it and find out for yourself? Maybe you'll find out that the Disney stuff isn't all that bad. I know, I know, what a crazy concept, right?
I happen to be someone that enjoys both the new AND the old, and can do so simultaneously (and can also see where the EU/Legends stuff isn't always good). My favourite Star Wars character of all time, Kyle Katarn, isn't Disney Canon, but so what?
Seriously, just give it a shot. If you must know, the books came out in the last few years, long after the Disney purchase, so assume that they're "Disney Canon".
Hi there. Your post would be better asked in our Simple Questions thread. It helps us keep the main subreddit focused around broader discussion rather topics which only apply to an individual. Thank you!

And where is that Simple Questions thread?
Gimme the link please.
I will go post my question there.
And hopefully I'll get better answers to my question than tigojones's platitudes (I've heard it all before from the mouth of the very few people who love the awful new "canon" and I couldn't disagree with them more on this) and I'll get to know my way around this subreddit a little bit better (I'm new to this subreddit).

maybe go to r/starwars or something.. probably more people there understand what you're talking about.
