Hi All! I'm writing to see if there are any active book clubs out there that can use new members? I am a late 30s female who moved to Baltimore in September. I moved here with my husband and know a small handful of people through him, but I want, nay, need to meet new people and hoping to make some new friends of my own. I love to read and have enjoyed book clubs before. Thanks!

I’d def be interested if you’ve found something/are looking to start a new club! I’m in the county but love coming into the city :)

Lots of great suggestions here already so I'll plug the Pratt Library which hosts many different types of book clubs through the system

The South Baltimore Book Club meets in various spots around Fed Hill, Riverside, and Locust Point. There’s usually a Tuesday night meeting mid-month and then a Sunday brunch meeting towards the end of the month. The Sunday group is meeting on February 26th to discuss Fairy Tale by Stephen King. The Sunday group is new in the last few months so every month there are lots of new people and introductions.

Charm City Books in Pigtown has several book clubs, including LGBTQ, Romance, and short stories. There isn’t a lot of up to date info on their website but staff is very helpful if you call or pop in to ask about the groups. The LGBTQ group is still meeting by zoom. They’re meeting Feb 15th to discuss Astrid Green Doesn’t Fail.

Thank you for the great suggestions everyone! I think I'll try Greedy Reads in Remington for location and their Feb/March selection aligns most with my book taste.
