I live in Remington/Old Gaucher and work in Montgomery Park, and up until recently Google always took me via MLK to Washington Blvd,to get to work, but the past 3 weeks have changed to various west Baltimore routes, to even going through downtown some days. Has anyone else noticed this? I assumed everyone back from the holidays may have caused it, but that is past my thinking now. Not really venting about the bad traffic, just confused as to what, if anything, has changed and if anyone else is in the same boat.

The lights on MLK have gotten pretty badly out of sync over the last few weeks. On a good day it'll easily add 10 minutes to your commute compared to last month.

Yes, plenty of folks including myself have noticed the difference. It’s made my trip to and from work go from barely tolerable to incredibly convoluted, annoying, and honestly dangerous. Taking 295 to 695 to 95 to 395 is not the most calming way to go 8 miles.
Some insight from our neighborly DOT rep in this subreddit:
TLDR: The lights are out of sync and they’re working on it, but time will tell if it’ll go back to normal anytime soon.

Thanks so much! This is what I was looking for! (Just making sure I wasn't losing it.)

It depends what time you leave, but I leave between 10-noon and take Saint Paul all the way down- it’s almost always faster (and has been since around March of 2020).

For me the biggest issue is once you get off MLK and go onto N Howard. The lights up until the bridge are so out of sync.

I believe google will deviate based on traffic patterns, but I haven’t noticed anything on Apple Maps
