Hey everyone! I'm trying to think of something fun to do with my mom for a Christmas gift!! I was thinking of doing a behind the scenes tour at the maryland Zoo- but to my surprise they didn't offer that!!

So my question is, can anyone think of a fun experience I can take my mom on for a Christmas gift??

Cooking classes at Schola or Baltimore Chef Shop. Glassblowing classes at McFadden or Corradetti. Woodworking/soap making/basic plumbing(!)/etc. classes at Station North Tool Library. Wine tasting at Union Collective. A promise to rent out a water taxi when the weather is nice and to stock the bar with her favorite drinks. Duckpin bowling before it goes extinct. A day spent bopping around the various museums with you.

There are a couple of canned experiences at the zoo (meet the penguins/feed the otters), and you can also schedule private experiences at the Zoo that cater to what you want (usually meant for a larger group than just 2 though).

Tour of the Guinness factory, b and o railroad museum. I like BMA and lunch at Gertrude’s after. Sometimes BMA has artist talks and lectures.

It's cheap and not impressive as a gift, but the Evergreen Mansion is really cool. Could couple that with dinner at Heritage Smokehouse FTW.

I think the Walters Art Museum has the coolest stuff. It’s free so you could go there and out for a meal before or after.

There are plenty of cool behind the scenes tours at National Aquarium. You could gift a membership and then get 20% off the tour and lots of other perks like a year of free visits. 🐬
