Rollerskating groups

I recently bought a pair of roller-skates, but haven’t skated since I was a kid so I’m very rusty (for all intents and purposes, a beginner). Does anyone know of rollerskating groups that skate indoors and would welcome beginners? It’s sadly becoming a tad too cold to skate outside, and I could use some pointers!

Alternatively, if anyone has good suggestions of places to practice by myself I’d sure appreciate them! For context, I live in Mt Vernon and have a car (but hate driving so bonus points for anywhere walkable).

Check out Putty Hill Skateland. They have Saturday morning lessons that are great for kids and adults. They have beginner lessons and intermediate lessons and lots of time to practice beforehand and afterwards. Great vibes there

Lots of skaters around Lake Montebello, nothing formal or a group but a lot of us there! Wheels is also a popular rink. Feel free to shoot me a message!

Fall, yes but now that it’s December not a lot of quad skaters. There’s still a few bladers. Shake and Bake is another closer skating rink that people frequent! It’s going to be hard to find distance skaters now that it’s cold, sadly.
