Generally if someone rear ends you it will be their fault, not yours. Unless you do something really stupid, of course.

If you’re rear ending people you should probably slow down and pay attention.

I get scared when driving, things like panic attacks, never saw a doctor but I am even thinking about selling my car and taking the bus on my way to work...

Besides getting a better insurance, you should also keep a safe following distance, stay away from distraction, and use AEB, here is a more detailed article.

You shouldn’t need to rely on that. They’re usually far short of self driving capabilities and will not be perfect.
