Hi all! In a month or so I'm planning on going down to Parkway Theatre. I'm quite nervous as I have never been in this part of Baltimore. Is there anything about this area I should be cautious about regarding safety/parking situations? Thank you for the help as I appreciare it much ❤

The Parkway is a gem and you should definitely see it. The corner of Charles and North can be “sketchy” after dark, but don’t let that frighten you. Keep your eyes open and walk with confidence. FWIW, I wouldn’t venture east of Calvert Street or linger around the alleys off Maryland Ave. otherwise, you should be fine.

Wow, you are way more a planner than I am. What are they showing in a month?

Also, you’ll be fine. It’s a little grittier than the harbor (and more interesting), so follow the normal city safety rules. If you’re there with some daylight, check out the murals around the neighborhood and grab dinner at Joe Squared or one of the Korean joints.

They're playing the sweaty eyeball animation festival. Thank you so much for the heads up and the recommendations. I'll be sure to check out one of those places for a bite. I appreciate it a lot! 😄
