I’m new to the city and I’m trying to find the good spots for thrifting.

I like thrifting clothes, furniture, decor, etc.

Where do you all go to look for used items? Are there popular thrifting spots I should visit?

You're here just in time! There's the Baltimore Flea Market this Sunday 10/9 at Peabody Brewery, from 12-5pm. Always tons of great finds there. (Source: Bmoreflea on IG)

The Nearly New Sale is happening at GBMC soon. You can usually find really good stuff there.

Salvation Army on Patapsco Avenue use to one day a week practically give away whatever hadn’t sold at full price that week. Stuff was pretty nice if you get there early but this was over 10 years ago so IDK if they still do that. I furnished my whole LR for like $150

I always come here to say look at local auctions like Alex Cooper or Richard Opfer. They have amazing deals on furniture, dishes, glassware, etc.

Second Chance is probably the best for non-clothing variety. They have everything from gargoyle statues, to grand staircases, to furniture and tabletop decor. Highly recommend.

Beyond that, venture outside of the city to go to Savers in Parkville. Easily the best thrift store for clothing.

Happy thrifting!

I miss Collins Ave thrift so much. I also got some scores at Planet Aid on route 40, but it moved to Rockville or whatever.

The best places to score are church rummage sales, but it’s hard to get a reliable and comprehensive list of when these kinds of events take place.
