A couple weeks ago I asked this sub for cozy/autumnal tips during my all-too-brief 2 night stay in Baltimore. You guys really delivered and helped my wife and me have a great time. The AVAM was incredible, Patterson Park was lovely (though perhaps we were a couple weeks early for peak fall color - not your fault, Baltimore!), and the bar suggestions were on point. W.C. Harlan was my favorite - we sat next to a great local character with a top hat - but I also enjoyed the friendly bartenders and interesting drinks at Dutch Courage. Thanks again, I will happily return! P.S. Anchor Bar, the reopened bar under the Admiral Fell Inn, is now open 7 nights a week.

The great thing about this city and its immediate surrounds is that if you sit down at most neighborhood bars, you're likely to find a friendly regular to talk to should you want conversation. There's a lot of cities with bar cultures that aren't that casual.

EDIT: a word.

The guy with the top hat is a staple at W.C. Harlan, he's such a nice guy!

I just moved here and don’t know about that man but in Philadelphia we have a lady like that, that would brunch at a restaurant called Parc. She always wears a very extravagant hat. She looks like she’s straight out of a novel. I feel like these two would be a perfect match 😂

That's funny, a few days before we went to Baltimore, my wife and I had a drink at Parc in Philly! Didn't see that lady, though, alas.
