Happens all the time. Parents get kids a puppy for Christmas, and the fun of the puppy wears off quickly, which leads to the puppy not being well trained. That then leads the owners to consider the dog a nuisance and get rid of it after a while. It is heartbreaking how many young dogs are tossed aside after they stop being cute and little.
