I rent a 1958 rambler for $$$ in N Arlington. All my neighbors in their McMansions are losing their minds and I’m trying to fake being sympathetic. Every last one has the yellow sign in our court

Good. I can expand my property if I want, increasing the value, amount of housing in the county, and my own wealth.

You simply love to see it. A place this close to DC really shouldn’t have SF mansions at all. Leverage the metro, build up!

Lol I love the signs claiming it will cause gentrification in front of multi-million dollar homes. As if you can gentrify a city where a mediocre 3 bedroom house is 900k.

Ah yes, we must preserve Arlington’s un-gentrified purity - dual-income defense contractor households, 20 something feds, and working class POC in dedicated affordable housing are notoriously susceptible to displacement.
I’m sure Little Saigon’s erasure was because we built too MUCH housing around here and not too little in the face of the metro area’s consistent growth and expansion.
