Hi everybody-I’m new to the area. Most of the bars around here are for folks in there early 30s or late 20s. As above, can anyone recommend a place close to Ballston with a little older crowd? Thank you!

I’m 40 and usually hit up Ballston Local, Rustico, Crafthouse, Carpool, and Bronson and never feel old when I’m there.

There's Westover Beer Garden (down Washington Blvd from Ballston) and Cowboy Cafe (on Langston). Neither are walkable from Ballston, but they're a short uber/bus/scooter ride.

We are regulars at First Down. Good mix of us old folks and younger people. Can get crowded when a big game is on.

If you're looking to get away from riff-raff, try the Westin bar. If you like dive bars, First Down caters to a wide range of patrons. Somewhere in between would be something like Mussel Bar. A good date night place is Grand Cru.
