You could also argue that Gaea is top god instead Zeus or Ymir instead of Odin. Amaterasu was the most revered god (kami) in Japan, so this looks like a list of pantheon heads.

Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I think Izanagi is closer to the Titans of Greek mythology than Zeus.
