The creature appeared one day preaching in unknown tongues, the people were terrified and most fsinted from shock, trapped in waking nightmares the likes of which no human should ever witness.

All I saw, however, was the bastard of a sea urchin and an octopus, doing the eauivalent Jehovah's witness' door to door evangelism. He was asking people to 'see the truth' and join his brethren in the one religion. To join their version of heaven, all he asked is to be invited inside... Inside people's mind that is, apparently they communicate like that, as you know that wasn't exactly the best of ideas for a species who isn't used to having their minds invaded or messed with.

As more came the government tried many things to get rid of them however nothing seemed to work until they found me. I was the only one who seemed able to understand or even properly perceive these creatures, and thus here I am on my first official 'appointment' to properly document a first contact scenario.

"Hi! Welcome to Earth Embassy #1, my name is Biff and I'll be the one to receive you. I hope you don't mind the lack of other people. There haven't been many who can understand uh um... 'Outerworld' affairs. You know what I mean?"

The mass of eyes and rings resembling a biblical accurate throne angle moved up and down, flapping their wings and spinning their rings. "YOU CALL YOUR NAME BUT NOT YOUR RACE? A MEETING BORNE OF MISSING INFORMATION WILL LEAD TO DAMNATION"

"Oh uh, my apologies I figured your people already knew the moment you came. We call ourselves human you see. We refer to ourselves as humankind"

"HUE-MON? VERY WELL HUE-MON WHAT IS THE MEANING BEHIND YOUR HUE-MON-KIN'S ANGER? WE SPECIFICALLY ASKED TO REMOVE YOUR FEAR FROM YOUR MINDS"

"It's pronounc- nevermind, you see my people can't properly um, perceive? your. Many peoples brain simply can't handle your appearances or voice for some reason. A lot of them are in the hospital right now you see?"

The room seems to get darker, colder and the feeling of 'wet' permeates the air.

"YOU CALL US HIDEOUS? TO THE EXTENT OF BODILY HARM? HOW DARE YOU MORTAL!?" The creature is infuriated by the misunderstanding.

"No, no! Thats not what I meant! It's like um, like trying to imagine a new color it's simply impossible and yet when our brains are Forced to do something similar, things can-"

"LIES! I HAVE CREATED MANY COLORS, OBSERVE!"

The room goes through various hues turning into something similar to the time I did acid but somehow way worse.

"Ah! Stop stop! This is what I mean! So many colors at once will hurt eben the healthiest of people!"

I call on my knees as I close my eyes and clutch my head, but I can still see the colors inside my mind.

"HUE-MON I CAN FEEL YOUR DISTRESS, DOES THIS TRULY HARM?"

Half the eyes on the entity narrow suspiciously while the other half widens in surprise.

"Yes! Please stop!" The colors fade from my mind and I yell at the entity.

"This is what I mean, looking at you or hearing your voices harms people! I'm the only one who can properly perceive you, but if you keep doing that even I will get hurt"

"I UNDERSTAND, HUE-MON-KIN HAS THE B̵̝̘͊͆Ŗ̷̬͌̌A̵̜͔͐̃I̴̩̯̎͐N̶̗̈́Ǹ̵̻̮̾Ŏ̷͉́T̵̮̟̕A̵͇̍͜͠Ḵ̸̛̫E̷͈͖̊Ỹ̸̤̝̅, WE HAVE MET OTHERS WITH THIS ILLNESS, BUT HOW CAN YOU PERCEIVE US? UNLESS... YOURE OFFSPRING OF US!"

"What? No! I've taken a blood test before I'm as human as they come!"

"LIES! THOSE WHO ILL OF B̵̝̘͊͆Ŗ̷̬͌̌A̵̜͔͐̃I̴̩̯̎͐N̶̗̈́Ǹ̵̻̮̾Ŏ̷͉́T̵̮̟̕A̵͇̍͜͠Ḵ̸̛̫E̷͈͖̊Ỹ̸̤̝̅ CANNOT GIVE BIRTH TO THOSE WHO CAN PERCEIVE US! TAKE ME TO YOUR BIRTHGIVERS"

I sigh "That's not possible"

"MORTAL! TAKE ME TO THEM"

"Well they are kinda um dead?"

"NONSENSE I SENSE THE CONNECTIONS TO YOUR BIRTHGIVERS ARE STILL STRONG"

"Wait what do you-" Before I finish my sentence I see the water in the room surround us like a veil. The water then forms into an eye that stares down at the creature.

"WHAT! HUE-MON WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS!" All eyes on the creature turn angry.

"I-I don't know this isn't me!"

The eye made of water ripples and hair IS as it shrinks down into a human sized portal and a graceful figure walks out.

"Sigh, I was hoping to keep this a secret until your 100th birthday but I guess 23 will have to do. Therones you've ruined my plans!"

"Q-QUEEN! MY DEAREST APOLOGIES I-" the creature trembled in fear but all I do is stare at the figure that came out of the portal, tears welling up in my eyes as I once again drop my knees.

"M-mom?"
