You don't have to remove anything from bags, including electronics at TF Green anymore either. I think it is new scanners or something that are rolling out at all airports.
Fly out of Worcester. Best experience I've ever had
I wish they brought back the route to Orlando. It was amazing!
They have Breeze to Vero beach now though 🤷♂️
Unfortunately Worcester has very limited designation travel.
was elite for me, i thought i was finna miss my flight and got there 10 mins before my flight. got through tsa in 2 minutes and they even had cupcakes being given out
1000% if you're traveling from Worcester, go to TF Green!
I live near Worcester and use both Logan and TF Green often for business and personal travel.
100% prefer TF Green whenever possible. Shorter lines. Incredibly inexpensive garage parking near terminals.
TF Green has minimal in-terminal restaurants and convenience shopping but that’s irrelevant for me since home is only 35 minutes away.
ORH only has one convenience store.
Although I very much wish it were different, ORH/Worcester isn’t my favorite by any stretch.
Have had three bad experiences there. Long and short is that when something goes wrong, as is normal in daily airport business, it seems that ORH doesn’t yet have staff and supplies on hand to cope.
I once waited there for several hours while a backup copilot had to be driven by car from Boston to Worcester.
Another time, some minor mechanical part had to be hand delivered from Hartford before the flight could proceed.
I've flown Worcester 4 times to Florida on JBU. All 4 times have been great. get there 30 min before and you are though everything and simple. I love it
ORH has a convenience store?
Look into flying out of Bradley in Connecticut great airport to fly out of. Parking is great like TF green
I avoid flying out of Logan any chance I can. Yes, Bradley is slightly further, but the parking is a fraction of the cost, and getting through security is often easier, too. I swear they have fewer cancelations or delays, too.
Agreed 100% best flying experience in New England I think, reasonable parking, average TSA and small. I ditched Logan a long time ago, too many shit experiences.
I would like to state here that the old Worcester Airport had an amazing low-key airport bar in the terminal, and the new one doesn't and the ommission of such mildly enrages me.
I saw a funny makeshift bar there a couple months ago
If you're parking TF Green; getting dropped off (depending on day/time) I prefer Logan
This is a little hard to answer because I think it depends on where you are going and what kind of flight itineraries/airlines you like. I’ve flown out of both for completely different reasons. Obviously since Logan is bigger they have the most options.
When we do Logan, we usually drive to the Framingham Logan express and park there as it’s only $7/day. Buses leave every half hour and it’s always been smooth and on time.
TG Green Parking is $17-32/day but I know they also have coupons that can get it down to $12/day.
I only use ORH when flying to NYC.
TF Green no question. So much easier.
I fly a lot and use BDL, PVD, ORH, and BOS. ORH is super easy/convenient but quite limited on flights. PVD and BDL are easy to get in and out of and have cheaper parking. BOS tons of flights so almost never get stranded, better food options, terminal C security is always super fast.
T.F. Green is the far superior airport experience of the two. Logan offers significantly more direct flight options. Pick your poison I guess.
That depends where you are headed…
Also consider Bradley International Airport just outside of Hartford CT. It's also about an hour away and much less congested than Logan.
TF Green. Logan is a lot easier to access than it used to be, but TF Green is almost zero traffic - down 146 to 295 to 37 and you're there.
Where are you going. Flying out of Worcester is lit
It has always been better than Logan but I have not flown anywhere since 2019.
Also consider Manchester. Edit - kind of a long drive, but way easier than driving to Logan and easy in and out.
Just fly out of Worcester. Not many direct flights, but they have basically whatever you want with 1 stop. Just have someone drop you off 15 minutes before boarding, don’t have to worry about gas, tolls, parking, etc
I'm partial to BDL or PVD. MHT if prices look good.
I loathe Logan.
If TF Green has a flight that goes where you're heading it'll be an easier time. I don't find many good direct flights to where I need to go from TF Green, but the parking there is loads cheaper than Logan. The carpark is smaller too, so it's quick and easy to find your car. Terminal is easier to navigate and less crowded. I don't remember a ton in the way of food options at the terminal, but I think what was there was passable. Flight from TF Green tend to be more expensive too, so that's something to consider if it matters...
Providence
Thanks for all the helpful responses !
I don’t know about flying but when I used to drive Lyft I always preferred TF Green over Logan for traffic/drivability and preferred Logan for the higher fares I’d make (so probably another reason to go with TF if you’re a passenger lol)
TF Green or Bradley in Hartford
In addition to all the other reasons mentioned here (all of which I agree with!), you’ll get your checked bags significantly faster at Green. As in, get off the plane, make a bathroom pitstop, and your luggage will already be at baggage claim. I have never waited less than half an hour, and usually closer to 45-60 minutes, for my baggage at Logan.
If you get the right connections and price, always take an airport other than Logan. And Sumner tunnel closing for the summer is going to make traffic worse.
If it goes where you want, TF green is great. Sometimes you don’t have a choice if you want direct flights.
If at all possible, I prefer direct flights. So if I can go direct but it means flying from Boston, then that’s what I’ll do.
I flew out of Providence recently but on the way back ended up getting a layover added and just landed back in Worcester
T.F. Green. I travel out of there whenever I can afford to as it’s closer to where I live and I find the traffic and everything at that airport less stressful and easier to manage than Logan.
Providence and Bradley are 2 great options for anything that isn’t nyc or Fll (Worcester flights). I prefer both over Logan by far. Cheaper parking, less traffic, smaller lines, less chaos in general, easier directions.
TF Green and Bradley are so much easier than Logan!!
TF green way better drive
100% prefer Bradley to either of these, if you have the option
Totally depends on where you’re going. A lot less options at tf green
TF Green. Not even close.
If you don't mind connecting flights over non-stop, go for it. Smaller, easier to get through security if you don't have pre-check.

I prefer TF Green over Logan. Parking is much easier in my opinion and more affordable if im not mistaken. I think i paid like $60 for almost a full week in garage C. The one thing i like about Logan is they have a new TSA area and i didn’t need to remove anything from my bag. TF just seems smoother and less chaotic for me.
