I'd try calling Wormtown to give you an estimate. I've had them come out a few times and prices were very reasonable.

superior waste on Cambridge street is likely your best bet. You can drive there, they weigh your car or truck and charge you per lb for dumping plus an extra charge for mattress etc.

I shot them an email. Looks like their services are a bit more than I need (I definitely don't have a dumpster full of stuff and I can easily haul it in my truck), but I'm eager to see what they've got for an estimate.

Seconding superior waste. We’ve gone there many times and dumped close to 3000lbs of tile from home renovation. It can be a little stressful the first time you go there but they’ll help you out navigating around the facility

Also Casella Waste systems in Oxford that’s $100 minimum for waste/demo. Charge extra for tv’s, tires, mattresses etc.

It’s actually not that bad. In 2018 I was trying to get rid of a heavy wood island on wheels left by the previous owner of our house and casella was going to charge me $40 to take it away. I just had to get it out to the curb.

It really depends on what you’re throwing away.

Plenty of cities offer bulk waste disposal at curbside for no additional charge, included in your monthly trash utility payment.

My last house was larger, on a much larger piece of land, and in a much nicer school district. I paid 1/3 what I pay here in property tax, and that included waste disposal (including bulk items, as much as I wanted to get rid of, year round). Not sure what Worcester is doing with my money, but something seems pretty silly here.

Thanks for the recommendation. Sounds like their services are a bit more comprehensive than what I'd need. $100 for an old bed frame, couch, and bedside table seems like overkill, but I'll keep them in mind if I ever need a shed taken down.

Our money is mostly going to the cops to pay fraudulent overtime, buy military equipment and horses, and fund brutality and civil rights settlements.
