The brothers were one thing, but once the lay folks took over, the school got this really creepy hybrid evangelical vibe. The headmaster at the time had a lot to do with it. From what I have heard the vibe still persists because of some uber-catholic parents.

But he was very alumni-focused and I'm pretty sure he pushed the religious shit cuz he saw money in that.
