I don't know who among the players is living in D1 other than Sue Mailman, and she's on the School Committee already. If Economou hasn't moved, wouldn't be surprised (or excited) to see his name pop up.

Last time this seat came up, there really was a sense that Rose was only there because Cipro was running. It's not surprising that he won't be running again, and he's making it known early, so as to give a non-Cipro candidate ample time to prepare.
