I used to go there when it was the Cardinal. We went on karaoke night and always had a good time. My guess is the area, Peidmont St. isn't the safest neighborhood.

Parking for the Raven can be difficult too.

Neighborhood is rough. After a certain time there are a lot of customers that seem to be high on something and I've seen several fights break out there. It has the potential to be a really cool spot and I bet it was at one point, now it's just a dive but not in the fun way :/

Saw a few hardcore shows there a while back but that’s about all my experience.

Awesome bar, terrible location. Pretty much sums it up

It’s too bad since the sound is pretty solid. If they just packed up and put it in a different location it would be a popular spot for local shows IMO

The Raven is one of those great things about the city. Yeah it's a gritty place and the neighborhood is rough, but it is a great bar with an awesome vibe and the owner is a cool guy.

Yeah honestly the layout and decor is pretty neat but everything looks run down and in need of a thorough cleaning. Went there a few times and I really wanted to like it. If they brought in some craft beers and better cocktails they could be another Nick's, but I imagine their operating budget doesn't support a full reno. This place needs to be on bar rescue or something.

I was there Friday too to see Hidden Figures! Definitely not the same place it was last time I went (soooo long ago!) If Not For Me killed it!

Great venue. Great shows, good sound, reasonably priced drinks. Rough neighborhood.

I love me some Nick’s (or Vincent’s). Ralph’s is really the only bar I go to nowadays though. There isn’t much else in Worcester that has a cool vibe. We’re overdue for a cool mid sized venue

There used to be a lot of local shows there 10+ years ago, not sure if there are now. Went there a lot growing up. Yeah, rough neighborhood and we definitely got into our share of mischief in the neighborhood growing up, but I always enjoyed the place and never really felt too sketched out

My band used to play there. The patrons were generally nice enough. When we were outside smoking butts we were approached many times by drug dealers. We stupidly lost 40 bucks trying to buy some green off one of them. Parking sucks and it’s a pretty rough neighborhood. It’s a good venue to see a local metal band.

The outside of the place looks abandon. I’m sure that’s why it isn’t more popular. I feel like it’s also a place you need to be “brought to” by a regular.
