Arrowhead Acres in Uxbridge.
They have a really big venue hall and an outdoor chapel if the weather is nice. The banquet hall holds something like 150-200 people. The thing we really liked about them was that they didn't care about the vendors - we could use whomever we wanted.
Our major vendors were:
- Arrowhead Acres (venue/ceremony)
- Arrowhead Acres liquor partner (can't remember who, but they're the only option)
- Ramu and the Crew (DJ - recommended to us by the venue. He was really awesome)
- All Fired Up BBQ and Clambakes (amazing food)
- Diane Rockwell made the wedding cake. We went to all the most popular bakeries around Worcester and she blew them all away. This was the cake she made us. Each tier was a different flavor, no extra cost for it. Those are sugar flowers. edit: It looks smaller in that picture than it actually was - it fed all of our guests and we took the top layer home.
Our photographer was someone my wife knew through a BNI group, I don't know who they were, but they also gave us a courtesy discount. Anyway, all in on everything from the dress and rings to the reception we spent about 15k. We could have spent closer to 13k, maybe less, but we had a lavish food spread.
The one thing I would say with Arrowhead Acres is to just make sure you're on top of the venue agreement. You have to pull permits for food on your own, which isn't hard but it's extra leg work (they gave us all the instructions we needed to do it). The owners don't fuck around and expect you to read and actually follow through on the agreement. They're an older, very no-nonsense couple but they were helpful. Just read your agreement thoroughly and make sure you give yourself time.
edit: Oh, also, if you're looking for rings, we went to Garabedians up on Burncoat. The old man there hammered out a custom wedding band for my wife out of a continuum silver ingot for like 100 bucks because the engagement ring we got had a unique shape and we needed something specific to fit it.
