I’m sure Polar Park would love the money concerts would bring, not really their fault there’s much better options, especially with the Palladium having more of an outdoor presence.

Why do Polar Park when you can do Palladium, Palladium Outdoors, DCU Center, or one of the 20 venues in/around Boston, or the Tsongas Center, or the Xfinity Center.

To summarize; Polar Park was built to mimic Fenway, including its flaws. (Because if it worked in 1912 it must work now, amiright?)

But its NOT exactly the same, see the best quote I've read in a while.

“We’re actually taller than they are at Fenway. We’re 12 feet 1 inches and Fenway’s 12 feet,” Malone said.

Polar park? They’ve had many sold out games in the last 2 years. There’s a garage across the street and plenty of other lots within 1/4 mile.

In my experience it’s easier to get in and out of a Woo Sox game than the Major Taylor garage after an event.

Polar Park should cater to the Jam scene. Lots of touring bands and fans always looking for new spots to see live music. Check out the Hartford HealthCare Ampitheater in Bridgeport CT. It's a converted minor league stadium that is perfect for live music. I hate the palladium and the DCU center brings in shitty 2000s rock bands and country. Get creative.

outdoor venues suck. they're just not good for music. the sound is usually terrible unless you're right in front of the stage and then there's that whole "weather" situation we have. also, don landgren is not even slightly funny.

The glory days of the DCU center are far behind us. Until they can get competent management running the place then its just going to continue to sit empty over 85% of the time. It's poorly managed and it's had the same manager for like 25 years, I think it's time to bring in some new blood to revive the place.
