I have a cleaning appointment coming up which I think I’m going to cancel. Michael Beluch gave me a ridiculously off center crown a few months ago. Also last year they told me one price for a root canal, then a much higher price over the phone a few weeks later, and then a completely different price when it came time to pay day of operation. They did end up honoring the first price which leads me to believe they’re picking numbers out of the air. My initial visit was only $59 though so I’d give them a call and see if it was an error/malicious.

They even spelled “molar” wrong on my paperwork.

Yea, the BBB is essentially fancy-Yelp. They're not part of or connected to any government agencies, they're literally just a ratings site, and you can pay $600 to get an A+ rating. They offered it to me when I had my business.

Nowhere I have ever worked has cared about BBB complaints. That is probably even less effective than a bad google review.

I also got a crown done by him that I hate. They also upgraded the material used for the crown which was not covered and I paid OOP. That second part is on me. I should have caught that or it would have been nice if they explained that and given me the option to upgrade and I would have probably done it anyway. Currently looking for a new dentist.

I went there once. Did not like them. I didn't get ripped off this bad but they did make me do the weird-ass scan thing even though I was just there for a cleaning.

They also sent me something that looked like a bill and had an exorbitant amount of money listed on it, but in one spot it said something like "NOT A BILL" so I just ignored it. Still have no idea what that thing was but this was years ago now and they've never made me pay that bill so I guess it actually wasn't a bill.

if its any consolation I paid out of pocket for an extraction of a rear molar at a different dentist and it was $900 - that is about the standard price these days with the graft thing - also had a tooth pulled a long time ago without the graft and it was a horribly painful experience (Dry socket, ouch!)

You can refuse the graft. My partner had 2 molars pulled there and they pressured us to get them; every time we said no, both verbally and in writing. No graft was given.

They do seem to try to pad the bill. We just refuse and demand the basic services we desire; haven't had a problem with them (yet), but are constantly wary.
