Well, BT's isn't very good, and Smokestack closed so there's a barbecue license available. Black Sheep's food truck is great so I'm happy to see them move in.

BT's is very good. Yes, the Sturbridge location is better, but unless you're down south, BT's is just about the best you'll find in the state. Black Sheep is also pretty decent.

The Sturbridge BT's is probably better at BBQ but the Park Ave spot's chicken sandwiches are some of the best value menu items in the entire city.

BT's is fine. West Side is better, except for maybe the brisket. Somehow they both have terrible cornbread, which is weird because good cornbread is not hard to make.

Right? Shouldn’t corn bread be served warm?

I'll take anything that's not stale and sickly sweet at this point. These places both serve 'cornbread' that tastes more like three day old cake with a tiny bit of cornmeal mixed in the batter.

We tried blacksheep over the weekend. We did take out and everything was cold (despite prompt pick up and a 3 min drive home. Serving sizes are small. The carrot cake was abysmal.

West side bbq is equal to if not better.

I’m sticking with my original thought that we now have 3 mediocre options for BBQ on the west side - feels a bit saturated.
