One of the only things I miss about growing up on the west side was waking up to see Rainier every day as I left for school. Looking out passed the lake to see the mountain was comforting and oddly terrifying.

Pullman is not as majestic on the volcano front.

Nice shot. If I'm oriented correctly, that would Rainer viewed from the NE looking South/Southwest. Sunrise lodge would be just off camera at the bottom.

Thanks! And actually this is looking NE from the SW side of the mountains. Flying from Seattle to Denver.

Your actually looking SE from the NW side of the mountain. Looking at the Mountain's features and figuring out where a photo of Tahoma is taken from is an odd little hobby of mine.

I went ahead and labeled some of the features on your photo.

Oh yeah you’re right, we did a full rotation around the mountain and went directly East from there so this must’ve been when I was still heading south

An absolutely amazing shot nonetheless! It's awesome to see Golden lakes all frozen over right at the center/bottom of your image!

Right? Isn't that the Mowich River?

Edit: oops I didn't open your image.

Yup! Also I just realized I mislabeled 3rd Burrough. It's actually Goat Island mtn. 3rd Burrough/sunrise ridge is the ridge immediately in front of what I labeled.
